The cofounder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of National Song and Dance Academy, Gagik Ginosyan, became a member of International Dance Council (CID) at UNESCO. CID is an official dance organization recognized by many international institutions.
The Council members are more than 700 organizations, and dance specialists, academicians, and professors from more than 150 different countries of the world.
From July 5 to 9, Gagik Ginosyan was in Athens, where the 50th World Congress on Dance Research organized by CID was taking place. The Congress hosted 300 conferees from 69 countries, and four of the participants were from Armenia.
On July 6, Gagik Ginosyan held a workshop of Armenian traditional ritual circle dances, and on July 7, he delivered a speech on the theme “Armenian traditional culture as a cornerstone for forming the identity of the new generation.”
